My ZFS for Linux/Unix project
I’m currently working on a project that may interest Linux and *BSD users. It’s a set of scripts that automate user and filesystem creation using the Linux automounter, and a ZFS enabled Solaris 10 or Solaris Express system to provide ZFS based file systems via NFS, giving Linux/Unix users easy access to some of ZFS’s features such as snapshots, compression, reservations.
Drop me an email if you are interested in being a beta tester in the coming weeks. To be a beta tester you should have a Solaris 10 update 2 or Solaris Express system running as well as a Linux box preferably Debian/Ubuntu unless you want to convert the Linux instructions to be more suitable to your distribution.
Update: Check out the the Demo of this project.
